Cascades Casino in Chatham reopens

Cascades Casino in Chatham has reopened.

Gateway Casinos and Entertainment announced on Wednesday morning the casino re-opened at 10 a.m..

"All slots and e-tables will be available for customers to enjoy. Table Games at Cascades will open as regularly scheduled at 3 p.m. daily," Gateway announced on its Facebook page on Wednesday morning.

Cascade's Match Eatery and Public House will open at 4 p.m. on Wednesday with a limited menu available for the evening.

Cascades closed 2.5 weeks ago along with other Gateway Casino locations across Ontario because of a cyber attack. The sites have been reopening in phases since Saturday as work to restore IT systems continues.

"We will continue to re-open our businesses in Ontario over the coming days. Please visit the Gateway property websites or social channels for the most up to date information. We look forward to welcoming our customers and employees back," said Gateway.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
