UPDATE: Amber Alert for 8-year-old boy ended

An Ontario Amber Alert issued for an 8-year-old boy who was last seen in Thunder Bay has ended nearly eight hours after it was put in effect.

Police issued the alert after the boy was last seen with 28-year-old Christopher Poulin, late Monday evening. At around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, police confirmed the child had been found safe.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of the 28-year-old accused of taking the boy. He was wanted on the following charges:

- Fail to Provide Necessities of Life - Abduction - Unlawful Confinement - Breach of Release

Police have not provided any other details about the investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
