Lambton OPP allege two officers were assaulted during an arrest at Walpole Island First Nation last week.
Police were called to a dispute at home on Union Hall Road at around 11:40 a.m. May 19.
Following an investigation, police attempted to arrest a 28-year-old man, but the suspect resisted and assaulted the officers. After a brief struggle, the accused was taken into custody.
Jared Williams is charged with two counts of assaulting a peace officer and resisting a peace officer.
He's been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
