CK Crime Stoppers looking for possible serial smash and grabber

Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers is looking for tips that could help police solve a series of break-ins at businesses in the area.

Police said the latest incident was on West Street in Wallaceburg sometime overnight on Tuesday.

Officers said an unknown suspect smashed the front glass doors of a business there and took off with a cash register and a tablet.

The stolen items have a combined estimated value of $500 while the damage was estimated at $3,000.

Investigators said the suspect may have left the scene in a grey sedan and they also believe the same suspect targeted other businesses in Chatham over the past several days.

Crime Stoppers is looking for any information that could help them identify the person responsible for the break-ins and thefts.

If you know who the suspect is, you should call 1 800 222 8477 or submit an anonymous tip at www.crime-stoppers.on.ca. Any tips that are submitted could be eligible for a cash reward.
