Chatham-Kent police investigating fatal motorcycle collision

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle motorcycle collision on Coutts Line near Tilbury.

Police were called about a motorcyclist in the ditch at around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

A 52-year-old Sombra man was travelling eastbound on Coutts Line near Baert Road when he lost control of the vehicle and stuck a ditch, according to police.

The driver sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash.

Police said the name of the motorcycle driver will not be released at this time out of respect for the family.

The Traffic Management Unit has taken over the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
