CK police seek witness of hit and run crash

Chatham-Kent police are searching for witnesses who might have seen a vehicle take off from the scene of a crash involving a pedestrian late Tuesday afternoon.

According to investigators, the crash happened at the intersection of Lacroix and Mary Streets sometime between 4:10 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Officers say a vehicle, described as a blue/green SUV, was seen travelling north on Lacroix Street towards Sandys Street after the collision.

The pedestrian was taken to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with minor injuries.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
