Chatham-Kent couple face weapons-related charges

A couple from Chatham-Kent is facing several charges after an altercation between neighbours in Thamesville.

Police were called to a residence in Thamesville shortly before noon Thursday for a dispute and learned an altercation took place between several parties. 

A 32-year-old male was arrested for assault, assault with a weapon, uttering

threats, and weapons dangerous. 

A 27-year-old was charged with assault with a weapon, mischief and utter threats. 

Both were later released from custody with a future court date.

Female arrested for intimate partner violence

A 22-year-old woman is charged with assault after a domestic dispute in Dresden.

Police said they were called to the area at 4 p.m. on Thursday and arrested the woman.

She was charged with one count of assault and later released from police custody with a future court date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
