Graduating students awarded by Chatham Sports Hall of Fame

The Chatham Sports Hall of Fame has given a bursary to a graduating student from each of Chatham’s four high schools.

The winners were not awarded for being athletes themselves but for contributing to their school's athletics in a non-player capacity. Their roles could include coaching, managing, scoring, timing, fundraising, or serving with the athletic society to improve the school’s athletic program.

The 2023 winners are:

Jared Scott (Chatham Christian H.S.)

Austin Dales (Chatham-Kent S.S.)

Zach Clarke (John McGregor S.S.)

Abby Denomy (Ursuline C.C.)

The four winners were presented the awards at either their high school graduation ceremony or an athletic awards ceremony.

The awards included a certificate and a $300 bursary.

This is the eighteenth straight year the Hall of Fame has presented these awards.
