Police seek suspect in 'pepper spray' attack

Chatham-Kent police are searching for a suspect alleged to have doused a driver with a pepper spray-like substance following a rear-ender in Chatham.

Police said the incident occurred on Richmond Street on July 5 at around 12:40 p.m.

One vehicle bumped another at a red light, which resulted in an exchange of words between the drivers.

Police said the suspect allegedly sprayed the other with a pepper spray-like substance before travelling west on Richmond Street.

The suspect is described as an 18 to 20-year-old man, approximately 150 lbs with shaggy blonde hair.

He was driving a black, newer model four-door Audi sedan with silver around the windows.
