Cyclist taken to Windsor hospital after serious crash near Pain Court

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a collision just outside of Pain Court that resulted in a cyclist suffering critical injuries.

Police said emergency crews were called to the scene on Pain Court Line between Bear Line Road and Winterline Road in Dover Township on Wednesday.

Investigators said a vehicle that was heading west on Pain Court Line hit a bicycle that was heading in the same direction.

Police said the cyclist was initially diagnosed with serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. Things took a turn for the worse, though, and the cyclist was later taken by Ornge Land Ambulance to a Windsor hospital in critical condition.

The CK Police Traffic Management Unit is taking the lead in the investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Kristen Charron at kristenc@chatham-kent.ca or 519-355-1092.
