Detained for drugged driving incident

Police arrested a 39-year-old Chatham man for allegedly driving impaired on Park Avenue in Chatham.

Officers found the individual inside the vehicle, unconscious in the driver's seat.

A Drug Recognition Expert evaluated the 39-year-old Chatham resident, and he was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs.

The car was towed.

Man arrested for impaired driving

At 9:00 p.m. on Friday, an officer observed a vehicle displaying erratic driving behaviour, prompting them to initiate a vehicle stop.

A 23-year-old Blenheim man, who allegedly exhibited signs of alcohol impairment, was subsequently arrested.

The results of the breath tests indicated a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit. The 23-year-old Blenheim man is now facing charges of operating a vehicle while impaired, exceeding the legal blood alcohol limit, and violating zero blood alcohol tolerance regulations for novice drivers.

He has been released from custody with a future court date.

Individual accused of public intoxication

At approximately 1:00 a.m., police received a report about a man on King Street in Chatham.

Authorities located a 25-year-old Chatham resident who was allegedly intoxicated and incapable of self-care.

Consequently, he has been charged with public intoxication

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
