Rainbow Road Board Books recalled due to choking hazard

Health Canada has issued a recall for nine different Rainbow Road Board Books.

According to the agency, the binding rings on the affected books could come off and become a choking hazard.

The books included in the recall are:

• Animal Counting

• Dinosaur's First Words

• Licorne Aime les Couleurs

• Old Macdonald Had A Farm

• Oú Sont Mes Pattes

• There Was an Old Lady That Swallowed A Fly

• Things That Go!

• Unicorn Colors

• Where's My Bottom?

Make Believe Ideas, the company behind the books reported that 12,878 units were sold in Canada between March 2022 and August 2023.

There have been no reports of injuries or incidents in Canada, as of September 13, 2023.

Consumers are urged to stop using the books immediately and to contact Make Believe Ideas for a refund.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
