Wallaceburg man wins cash for life

One lucky Wallaceburg man is guaranteed extra cash for life after winning the second top prize in a late August lottery draw.

Kenneth Everaert was fortunate enough to match all five numbers on his Daily Grand ticket from the August 24, 2023 draw, earning him a second prize of $25,000 a year for life.

The Daily Grand is a national lottery game with a top prize of $1,000 a day for life for matching all five numbers plus the “Grand” number.

Kenneth picked up his winning ticket at Taylor Convenience on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
