Fire at Bothwell Furniture under investigation

No injuries are being reported after a fire at a furniture store in Bothwell.

Chatham-Kent fire officials said firefighters were called to the scene at Bothwell Furniture on Main Street in Bothwell at 2:40 a.m. Thursday and were able to quickly put out the flames, which had made their way into the eves of the building.

The damage was estimated at $25,000.

Chatham-Kent fire inspectors are attending the scene and Chatham-Kent police are investigating.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
