UPDATE: Partial lockdown at CK hospitals lifted, arrest made

A Highgate man has been arrested for issuing threats that prompted a partial lockdown that was in place at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance's sites in Wallaceburg and Chatham.

The CKHA posted a note on social media at around 10:45 a.m. Thursday with a note on restrictions to the entrances of the hospitals, but those restrictions were lifted shortly after 12 p.m. Thursday.

Officers said they found the suspect, a 47-year-old Highgate man, at his home at around 11:45 a.m. Thursday and arrested him without incident.

He was taken to police headquarters and later released with a future court date.
