UPDATE: Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent reopened after crash

A stretch of Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent has reopened after a transport truck rollover Thursday morning.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) closed the eastbound lanes of the highway from Victoria Road (Interchange 109) to Orford Road (Interchange 117) after they were called to the scene of a transport truck rollover crash near the 116 kilometre mark at around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

OPP said only one person was inside the transport truck at the time and they had to be pulled out of the vehicle by emergency crews.

The person was taken to the hospital, but their injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

The eastbound lanes of the Hwy. 401 reopened just after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday after being closed for several hours to allow for the investigation and the removal of the vehicle.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
