CK Fire battles $600K blaze

A fire in Ridgetown has gutted a home.

Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue reported the blaze started just after 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday at 90 Main Street Ridgetown and caused $600,000 in damage.

The cause has been listed as undetermined.

"Upon arrival, crews were presented with heavy smoke and flames from both the first and second floor of the dwelling," said CK Fire officials.

Three fire stations responded to the fire along with Chatham-Kent police and CK paramedics, according to CK Fire.

CK Fire said crews stayed at the scene well into the morning until the fire was brought under control and extinguished.

No injuries were reported, said CK Fire officials.
