CKPS charges Essex man in child luring case

A 65-year-old Essex man is facing charges after a child luring investigation in Chatham-Kent.

Earlier this month, the Internet Child Exploitation Unit of the Chatham-Kent Police Service began an investigation into a man luring a child under the age of 18 for sexual purposes while using social media.

On November 16, police searched the suspect's home and arrested him.

Police said the victim has been identified and has been offered support.
