Food and toy donations up during Goodfellows' annual porchlight drive

The Chatham Goodfellows had another strong showing from their annual porchlight campaign.

They collected $57,680 Monday night -- down only slightly from last year's total of $59,000.

The toy and food donations were both up this year, though.

Volunteers collected about 2,000 toys Monday night along with 175 banana boxes full of food for the annual No Child Without a Christmas campaign.

The Chatham Goodfellows' next big fundraiser is the Street Sales, which will take place on December 15 and 16.

You can also donate to the organization by e-transfer to donate@chathamgoodfellows.ca, you can send a cheque to Chatham Goodfellows (PO Box 114, Chatham, ON, N7M 5K1), or you can give them a call and they will come and pick up your donation if that is easier.
