Blenheim teen who died in crash identified

Jaimie Bonnell, a 17-year-old high school student from Blenheim, has been identified as the victim who died in a crash on Thursday.

Bonnell's parents confirmed her passing in an obituary notice on the Blenheim Community Funeral Home's website.

"We never knew how much our hearts could hurt until we received the news last night that our daughter Jaimie passed away as the result of an accident," the notice reads. "We will be taking today to think about a lot of things and we want you to know that we appreciate your kind thoughts."

The funeral details have yet to be announced. CK News Today will update as more information becomes available.

Four teenage girls were in the vehicle when it rolled over on Allison Line between Charing Cross Road and Erieau Road.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
