Maroons to honour 2022 champs with a special ceremony

The Chatham Maroons will be hosting some special guests at their home game on Sunday.

The Maroons will welcome back the members of the 2022 GOJHL Western Conference Championship team to honour them with a special on-ice pregame ceremony at Memorial Arena.

That ceremony will include team owners Bill and Karen Szekesy handing out championship rings to the team and the coaching staff before the game against the Hamilton Kilty B's.

The team is also turning back the clock on its start time with game time set for 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The players from the championship team will also be available for autographs and photos during the 1st intermission.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
