Windsor police have arrested a Chatham-Kent business owner after allegedly taking thousands of dollars for pool work not completed.
Officers at the Amherstburg detachment's Criminal Investigations Unit began a probe in September after a complaint was filed against a pool contractor who was given $30,000 to build one but did not do the work. The suspect also allegedly refused to give back the deposit.
The 63-year-old from Blenheim, who operated Western Ontario Fiberglass Pools, was arrested Thursday and charged with one count of fraud over $5,000.
Police say the business owner is already facing three fraud charges in a separate case involving KTPC Pools and Concrete Resurfacing Inc.
Investigators believe there may be more victims and have encouraged anyone with information about either Western Ontario Fiberglas Pools or KTPC Pools and Concrete Resurfacing Inc., to come forward.
