Farm Boy vegan pizza recalled over undeclared milk

A certain kind of Farm Boy vegan and gluten-free pizza is being recalled across Ontario because it contains milk not listed on the label.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued the recall for the Vegan Gluten Free Margherita Pizza on Tuesday. The affected product is 330 grams with a best before date of July 19, 2024 and a UPC of 8 08912 01086 1.

The recall was triggered by a consumer complaint. According to the CFIA, there has been one reported reaction from the undeclared milk from someone who ate the pizza.

The CFIA has launched a food safety investigation, which could lead to other products being recalled.

Anyone who purchased this pizza who has an allergy or sensitivity to milk is advised not to eat it as it could cause a serious or life-threatening reaction. Instead, they should return the product to the store where it was purchased or throw it out, the CFIA said.
