Woman charged with impaired driving following crash

Chatham-Kent police responded to a collision in Blenheim late Friday night.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., a driver crashed into a parked vehicle.

Police determined that a 30-year-old Chatham woman was impaired by alcohol while operating her vehicle.

She was arrested and taken to police headquarters for further testing.

She has been charged with having more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system and impaired driving. Her vehicle has been impounded for seven days and her driver's license was suspended for 90 days.

Individuals arrested on outstanding warrants

On Friday, a 62-year-old Chatham man went to police headquarters to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant.

The man was held pending a bail hearing.

A 22-year-old Chatham woman turned herself in to police on Friday.

She was wanted on a warrant for possession of stolen property under $5,000.

The woman has since been released with a future court date.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
