Disturbance leads to attack on police

Chatham-Kent police responded to a disturbance call on Lorne Avenue in Chatham.

When they arrived, officers determined that the man involved in the disturbance was intoxicated and wouldn't leave the area. He was eventually arrested under the Liquor Licence Control Act.

During the arrest, police said that the man grabbed and kicked two separate officers. He has been charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer.

The suspect was held in custody until he was sober and released with a future court date.

Man arrested for mischief

A man has been arrested by Chatham-Kent police following a disturbance at a local shelter.

Officers responded to the Wellington Street address following reports of a broken window and doorbell.

The man was arrested and released with a future court date.

Man who failed to appear in court arrested

A man wanted on a number of charges, who failed to show up for his court date, has been arrested.

Police said that he was located on Sherman Street in Blenheim.

The suspect was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and held for bail.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
