Teen facing child porn charges

A 15-year-old has been released on bail following an intimate partner violence arrest.

According to police, the teen "made threats to multiple family members and sent inappropriate content to several people" following a recent breakup.

The youth faces two counts of uttering threats and one count of distributing child pornography.

Man turns himself in for fraud

A 49-year-old man has turned himself in to Chatham-Kent police for an outstanding fraud warrant.

Police said that the man had received a large sum of money for renovations and the installation of a pool that wasn't completed. After police were notified they weren't able to locate the man.

He has been charged with fraud over $5,000 and released with a future court date.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
