Arrest made after shots fired

Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 22-year-old man after shots were fired on the weekend.

At around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a McNaughton Avenue West address following a 911 call about shots being fired in the area.

Police said that after they arrived at the scene, they determined that a man had fired a gun and fled from the property. He was found, arrested, and taken to police headquarters.

The suspect will stay in custody until his future court date. Police said he is facing multiple firearms related charges.

No injuries were reported and it's believed that it was an isolated incident.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
