Teens face weapons charges

A 16-year-old and 17-year-old are facing weapons charges following an incident on Saturday night.

Just before 9:30 p.m., Chatham-Kent police were called to a Wallaceburg residence for reports that two people in a vehicle were aiming a firearm at the home.

After locating the vehicle, police arrested the male youths inside and seized an airsoft handgun.

The teens are facing weapons charges including pointing a firearm and weapons - dangerous. They were released from police custody with an undertaking and a future court date.

62-year-old arrested for careless driving

Chatham-Kent police responded to a collision on Saturday involving a vehicle crashing into a tree.

Officers were called to the scene on Grand Avenue West at about 4 p.m.

No serious injuries were reported.

A 62-year-old man has been charged with careless driving.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
