Wallaceburg duo arrested on warrants

Chatham-Kent police arrested a man and a woman in Wallaceburg on Monday.

The arrest took place on Wallace Street just before 10:20 a.m.

According to police, both the man, 34, and the woman, 32, were wanted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

The pair was taken to the Wallaceburg police station and later released with conditions and future court dates.

Wellness check leads to arrest

A well-being check on a woman in Chatham Monday afternoon ended with police arresting her.

Police said they were called to an address on Sandys Street in Chatham to check on the woman shortly after 3:45 p.m. Monday and later confirmed that she was wanted for failing to attend court in relation bail violations.

The woman was arrested and taken to police headquarters where she was held pending a bail hearing.

She is facing charges of failing to attend court and three counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
