Windsor man on Canada-wide warrant arrested in London

A man wanted for a violent home invasion in Windsor is now in custody.

Nicholas McCullough, 30, of Windsor, was arrested in London and has been transported back.

He is facing multiple charges, including two counts each of robbery with an offensive weapon, and assault with a weapon, in the March 18 incident on Aspenshore Avenue in the east end.

Two men wearing masks and carrying a firearm entered the home and allegedly assaulted two elderly residents. A large amount of jewellery was stolen. Both victims suffered minor physical injuries.

Four men were identified as co-conspirators in the break-in.

The other three men identified as co-conspirators have already been arrested, and face numerous robbery, assault, and weapons charges.

McCullough had been wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breach of statutory release and had frequented the London, Chatham-Kent, and Sarnia-Lambton areas. He is serving a six-year, seven-month sentence for a 2015 shooting near a downtown Windsor nightclub.

The charges have not been proven in court.
