Canadian hockey broadcaster, Bob Cole, dead at 90

Bob Cole, a legendary Canadian sports announcer, has died at the age of 90.

He died Wednesday night in St. John's, Newfoundland, surrounded by his family, according to the CBC.

Known for his signature "Oh, baby" catchphrase, Cole provided a special soundtrack to one of Canada's favourite games.

Cole was on Hockey Night in Canada for 50 years and completed his run after the 2018-19 season.

The award-winning broadcaster was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1996 and is a recipient of the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award for broadcasting excellence.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
