CK firefighter injured battling house fire in Chatham

The damage after a house fire in Chatham is estimated at up to $200,000.

Chatham-Kent Fire told CK News Today the blaze happened around 3:30 a.m. Thursday at 88 O’Neil Street.

Fire officials have listed the cause as undetermined.

CK Fire said crews encountered heavy fire conditions when they arrived and immediately took an offensive stance.

All occupants were outside the house upon arrival, according to CK Fire. They noted CK Victim Services assisted with the displaced occupants.

One firefighter sustained a minor injury.
