Chatham-Kent police investigating break-and-enter in Wallaceburg

Police in Chatham-Kent are looking to track down an e-bike that was stolen from a home in Wallaceburg on Thursday.

Sometime between 7 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., an unknown suspect entered a residence in the area of Albert Avenue and took off with an e-bike that was inside.

Anyone with information regarding this incident are encouraged to contact Constable Ken Muir at 519-436-6600. Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 and may be eligible for a cash reward.

The investigation is ongoing.

Highly intoxicated man spends time sobering up in police custody

A man spent some time sobering up in police custody after he was found unable to care for himself at a bar in Chatham.

Police said they were called to the business on Grand Avenue East at around 1:30 a.m. on Friday for a report of a highly intoxicated man.

The man was arrested and held in custody until he was sober enough to take care of himself.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
