McHappy Day totals jump up again in CK

McDonald's locations across Chatham-Kent were buzzing on Wednesday for McHappy Day, smashing last year's local fundraising totals.

This year's McHappy Day in support of children's charities ended up raising $60,744 from McDonald's locations across the municipality.

That is an increase of just over $20,000 compared to last year's fundraising total of $40,729 and almost doubles the total from 2022 of $33,491.

On McHappy Day, a portion of proceeds from every food and beverage purchase, all day long, was set aside to help support families with sick children through Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) chapters and local children’s charities across Canada.

Last year, McHappy Day raised over $7.5 million across Canada in support of RMHC and local children’s charities.
