Chatham indoor playground owners jumping for joy, now that it's open

A new indoor playground is now open in Chatham.

Owner Lilly Singh told CK News Today opening The Magic Land at 600 Junction Avenue in Chatham is like a dream come true.

A jubilant Singh said she's relieved it's finally open.

"It was not easy. It was a long, long adventure starting December 2023 and we went through a lot of struggle to open this playground, but it was fun," said Singh.

Singh said she and her husband Jarman faced a few hurdles along the way to meet safety and building codes, but the long hours and hard work were all worthwhile.

"I'm really happy when I see the parents screaming coming down from the donuts, like they really had fun, you can tell. Kids playing hide and seek in the maze. It makes me happy that they are happy," Singh said.

The obstacles encountered delayed the playground by a couple of months.

Singh is encouraging young entrepreneurs to never give up, even when times get tough.

Singh said she did a lot of research before opening the business and thought Chatham was a good place to set up shop because it's growing.

The idea for the business was born when her and husband had a tough time finding a good playground for their young daughter when they visited Chatham.

The new indoor playground is open to kids of all ages. It features plenty of adventures and fun for the young and young at heart, including a Foam pit, Ninja course, Rope Course, Wall climbing, Sky stepper, Rainbow climbing, Donut slide, and Toddler zone.
