Upcoming road work may cause traffic disruptions

A couple of Chatham roads will be getting an upgrade over the next couple of weeks.

According to the municipality, road resurfacing will begin on Grand Avenue West and Lacroix Street in Chatham on Monday, May 27 and last until Friday, June 14, weather permitting.

Grand Ave. W. will see work from Keil Drive North to Churchill Street, while Lacroix St. will be resurfaced from Grand Ave West to King Street West.

The roads will remain open during construction, as will any properties and businesses in the area. The municipality is asking for patience during this time as the work could cause traffic disruptions.

Bus stops on Route 1 will remain in service, more information about RideCK bus routes can be found here.
