Man wanted by police following home invasion

Chatham-Kent police have arrested two of three people believed to be involved in a home invasion.

Police responded to the report of a robbery on March 25, 2024, at a home on Fairview Line in Chatham.

According to police, two individuals wearing disguises forcibly entered the residence though investigators later identified three persons of interest.

Two men have been taken into custody.

A 41-year-old Chatham man and a 45-year-old Chatham man both face charges of:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

  • Possession of a stolen credit card

  • Fraud under $5,000

Police are still searching for the third man.

Michael Vandusen, 39, is wanted for charges including:

  • Break, enter, and commit robbery

  • Pointing a firearm

  • Disguise with intent

  • Failing to comply with a release order x2

  • Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order x5

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
