ETFO, Lambton Kent District School Board reach tentative deal

The public school board serving Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton has reached a tentative agreement with one of its unions.

The Lambton-Kent District School Board (LKDSB) has come to a tentative deal with the Occasional Teachers of the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO).

The agreement was reached on Friday but publicly announced late Monday afternoon.

"This is wonderful news for our board, our staff, and each and every one of the students we serve across the district," said LKDSB Chair Randy Campbell in a media release.

The agreement is subject to ratification by both sides.

Details will not be disclosed until ratification has taken place.
