Stolen motorcycle leads to drug bust

A stolen motorcycle has led to the seizure of a large quantity of drugs. 

Just after 10 a.m. Sunday, Chatham-Kent officers found an abandoned motorcycle on Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg and confirmed it had been stolen. 

According to police, officers were nearby when the man who was riding the bike returned, adding that he ran away when he saw them. Officers captured the man a short distance away. 

Police said the suspect was found to have suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, worth an estimated $10,000. 

A 43-year-old Walpole Island man is charged with possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
