Man arrested for outstanding warrant and drug possession

A Thamesville man faces drug related charges following an arrest over the weekend.

Chatham-Kent Police received a call at 11:30 p.m. Saturday about a man in distress on Jane Street in Thamesville.

When they arrived, an investigation determined the man had a warrant out for his arrest.

Once under arrest, it's alleged the subsequent search revealed the man was in possession of several individually packaged controlled substances, and other items used for the sale and distribution of controlled substances.

The suspect has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking-controlled substances.

Man does the thing he isn't supposed to do

Police have arrested a man for allegedly failing to comply with his release order.

According to police, just before 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, officers located a man known to them appearing to be operating a motor vehicle on King Street East in Chatham.

The 27-year-old was pulled over and arrested for failing to comply with his release order.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
