Chatham man arrested for child sexual abuse material

A Chatham man faces several charges after an investigation into child pornography.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) executed a search warrant in Chatham on Thursday, July 18 as part of an investigation into child sexual abuse material.

The 46-year-old was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography, two counts of accessing child pornography, and two counts of making child pornography available.

His name was not released by Chatham-Kent police.

The suspect was held in custody for a bail hearing, where he was remanded into custody and transported to the Southwest Regional Detention Centre until his next court appearance on July 22.
