OPP nab trio of stunt drivers on Hwy. 401 in CK

Three drivers who were caught going way too fast on the Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent will have to find another way to get around for the next little while.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say they pulled all three drivers and their vehicles off of the road for stunt driving over the weekend.

A 30-year-old from Windsor was going the fastest of the three.

That vehicle was clocked at going more than 75 kilometres per hour over the posted limit in the westbound lanes near Victoria Road Saturday night.

Early Sunday morning, officers stopped a 47-year-old driver from Kingsville who was going more than 65 km/h over the limit in the westbound lanes between Highway 40 and Bloomfield Road.

On Sunday night, a 22-year-old from Pickering was pulled over after officers spotted a driver going more than 55 over the limit in the westbound lanes between Kent Bridge Road and Highway 40.

All three drivers had their vehicles taken away for 14 days and their driver's licences suspended for 30 days.
