Commercial Break and Enter in Chatham

Police in Chatham-Kent are looking for whoever broke into a business in the area of Charing Cross Road in Chatham.

Police said an unknown suspect or suspects forced their way through a door window at the local business overnight on Monday and took some alcohol and $200 in cash.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Constable Mitchell Tetzlaff at mitchellt@chatham-kent.ca or 519-436-6600. Anonymous callers can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) to be eligible for a cash reward.

Tilbury Man Arrested on Warrants

A 27-year-old Tilbury man wanted in connection to a mischief, trespass at night, and breach of probation investigation has been arrested by Chatham-Kent police.

He had a warrant out for his arrest and was arrested Monday morning.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
