Increased OPP in Rodney for 'active investigation'

Elgin County OPP say Rodney residents will see an increased police presence in the area as they remain on scene for an active investigation.

Police responded to an assist call at an address in the 100 block of Furnival Road in West Elgin around 2 p.m.

No details were provided on the nature of the call, however OPP say "there are no concerns for public safety at this time."

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
