Woman Arrested for Intimate Partner Violence

A 23-year-old Tilbury woman has been arrested and charged with assault following a disturbance in Tilbury.

Police allege an argument with a man escalated and that the suspect assaulted him at an address on Bond Street in Tilbury Tuesday morning.

The woman has been charged with one count of assault.

Chatham Man Arrested for Public Intoxication

A ticket for public intoxication has been given to a Chatham man after a disturbance at the Chatham courthouse.

Chatham-Kent police allege a highly intoxicated man was unable to care for himself at the Ontario Court of Justice in Chatham Tuesday afternoon.

The 54-year-old Chatham man was arrested and issued a Provincial Offences Notice for public intoxication.

Residential Break and Enter and Theft in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are looking for whoever broke into a home in Harwich Township and stole several items.

Police said they received a report of a residential break and enter in the area of Knights Line in Harwich Township on Tuesday that took place sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Unknown suspect(s) forced their way into the residence and took several items, according to police.

Wallaceburg Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

Police in Chatham-Kent have nabbed another wanted person.

Police reported officers attended a residence in the area of Dundas Street in Wallaceburg for a domestic dispute Tuesday night and arrested a 58-year-old Wallaceburg man.

The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant in relation to three separate investigations for failing to attend court, police said.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
