UPDATE: Increased police presence on McNaughton Avenue

Chatham-Kent police reopened McNaughton Avenue just before 4 p.m. advising residents the area was safe, and officers were investigating the scene.

Just after 2 p.m. Wednesday, Chatham-Kent police asked the public to stay away from McNaughton Avenue East between Taylor Trail and Spurgeon Drive.

Police announced there was an increased presence in the area due to an ongoing investigation.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
