Chatham man wins $1-million in Lotto Max draw

A Chatham man is now $1 million richer.

Clifford Manley is the latest Lotto Max winner after taking home the MaxMillions prize back on August 16, 2024.

“I took my ticket to the store to have it validated, and when it was scanned, the lottery terminal froze. I thought I had broken it,” Manley said while picking up his winnings at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Centre in Toronto.

He joked at the time that he nearly had a heart attack when he found out.

“I stood in the store saying, ‘Oh no!’ and gave my heart a pep talk: ‘Don’t you give up on me just yet!’ I shared the news with my wife, and she was just as shocked as I was," Manley added.

Ontario's latest millionaire still hasn't decided what he wants to do with the money.
