CK Police Find Man Wanted for Summer Assault

A 28-year-old North Buxton man has once again been arrested for his alleged role in an assault back in the summer.

At around 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, Chatham-Kent Police received a report of a large number of people causing a disturbance on A.D. Shadd Road in North Buxton.

After arriving, they determined one of the men had an outstanding warrant for an incident that happened back on June 30, 2024.

There a man was seriously injured after being assaulted by five other men. Each were arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.

The North Buxton man was taken into custody but released with conditions and a future court date.

Chatham Man Charged with Stunt Driving

A 21-year-old Chatham man won’t be able to drive for the next month.

At around 8:25 p.m. on Saturday, CK Police charged him for stunt driving around St. Clair Street in Chatham.

They allege the man was seen speeding, while also preparing to attempt to burnout and spin the vehicle.

The vehicle was subsequently impounded for 14 days, while the man had his licence suspended for 30 days.

He’s since been given a future court date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
