Police investigating break-in at Wallaceburg business

Chatham-Kent police are putting out a call for tips as they investigate an early morning break-in at a business in Wallaceburg.

Police said their investigation shows someone broke into the business on Margaret Avenue at around 4:20 a.m. Wednesday and then took off with various items from the store.

Anyone with information that can help police with their investigation is encouraged to contact Constable Max Bossance at maxb@chatham-kent.ca.

Two arrests on warrants

Chatham-Kent police caught up with two more people on Wednesday who had made the local service's wanted list.

CK police said they found a 34-year-old Tilbury man at around 3 p.m. Wednesday and arrested him for theft and possession of stolen property.

He was later released with a future court date in November.

Police said they also found and arrested a 27-year-old Chatham man who was wanted on several outstanding warrants.

Officers picked him up at around 10 p.m. Wednesday and was taken to CK police headquarters where he was set to be held pending a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
