CK senior defrauded $20,000

A Windsor man has been arrested on behalf of Chatham-Kent police.

The 23-year-old was wanted in connection to a grandparent scam that saw an elderly woman lose over $20,000.

CK police said that the fraud investigation took place in June of last year, though Windsor police arrested the suspect on Monday.

The man has been released from police custody with a December 9 court date.

Chatham teen facing threat charges

A Chatham teen has turned themself in connection to a threats investigation.

CK police said they were called to a Dover Street address on October 3 and the 17-year-old has been wanted since.

The youth surrendered themself to police on Monday and faces multiple charges of uttering threats to cause death, bodily harm, and property damage.

Woman arrested for violating probation order

A 27-year-old Blenheim woman has been arrested for going places she shouldn't.

According to police, officers were called to an address on Regent Street in Blenheim just before 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday. When they arrived, police determined that the woman was violating a probation order banning her from that address.

She was arrested and held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
